Custom Yoga Mat Manufacturer for Branded Fitness Ranges

Ninghow Mats develops made-to-specification yoga and fitness mats for yoga, fitness and sports brands. We support product programmes that require custom materials, dimensions, thickness, softness, surfaces, base structures, printing, branding and packaging.

Select the Right Mat Format for Your Product Range

Ninghow Mats supplies yoga mats, exercise mats, Pilates mats, stretching mats and fitness training mats. These formats share several development choices, but the final structure needs to reflect the intended movement, handling method and user experience.

Turn the Intended Practice into a Clear Product Brief

A useful development brief starts with how and where the mat will be used. Material names alone do not define the complete product. The surface, structural layer, base, dimensions and handling requirements need to work together.

Movement Type

Describe the yoga practice, stretching routine or fitness activity expected on the mat.

State the type of softness or support you want the sample to demonstrate.

Surface Stability

Explain how stable the surface and base should feel during the intended movements.

Handling and Storage

Identify how the mat will be carried, stored, displayed or packed for sale.

Branding Area

Mark the required logo, pattern or full-surface artwork position.

Sales Format

Confirm whether the mat is part of a branded range, retail product line or other bulk supply programme.

Compare Materials by Their Role in the Mat Structure

Ninghow Mats processes natural rubber, PORON and microcellular PU foam, silicone, EVA foam and PVC anti-slip materials. Each material has a different role. Selection should consider the complete structure rather than treating one material as suitable for every yoga or fitness use.

General role supported by the material: Anti-slip support, cushioning and structural support

What to evaluate in a sample: Base behaviour, thickness, weight, softness and compatibility with the selected surface

General role supported by the material: Controlled softness, support and surface stability

What to evaluate in a sample: Required feel, structural support and integration with the surface and base layers

General role supported by the material: Flexible and anti-slip mat construction

What to evaluate in a sample: Flexibility, surface and base requirements, shape and intended handling

EVA Foam

General role supported by the material: Lightweight and cost-oriented construction

What to evaluate in a sample: Thickness, softness, handling, shape and presentation requirements

PVC Anti-Slip Material

General role supported by the material: Anti-slip and cost-oriented development for general-purpose products

What to evaluate in a sample: Base function, flexibility, construction and compatibility with the intended use

Define Dimensions, Thickness, Softness and Surface Construction Together

Size and thickness affect more than the appearance of a fitness mat. They also influence the usable practice area, handling, storage, packaging and target feel. For this reason, the specification should connect dimensions with the selected material structure.

Dimensions and Shape

Provide the finished length, width and shape. If the mat has rounded corners, non-standard contours or other shaped areas, include a drawing with clear measurements. Custom shaping can be reviewed against the selected material and production route.

Thickness and Softness

State the target thickness and describe the expected softness or support in practical terms. If you have a reference sample, explain which features you want to retain or change. Thickness and softness need to be assessed with the material structure rather than as separate choices.

Surface and Base Requirements

Describe the desired surface feel, artwork coverage and base behaviour. Surface-to-base matching and material lamination are available when a layered structure is required. The proposed combination can then be assessed during sample development.

Handling and Product Presentation

Confirm how the mat will be stored, packed and presented for sale. These decisions may affect the finished dimensions, construction and packaging plan.

Yoga and fitness mats, artwork and printing specifications

Prepare Artwork for Printing and Colour Review

Custom artwork can include a logo, repeated graphic, placement design or a larger printed area. Ninghow Mats supports artwork development, digital printing and heat-transfer processing for compatible material and construction routes.

Provide the following information for technical review:

Artwork is reviewed in relation to the mat dimensions, material, print process and cutting shape. This reduces the risk of important design elements moving too close to an edge or falling outside the intended print area.

Colour consistency is checked during production. Colorimeters are used with a Delta E <1.5 colour-control target. This is an internal production target rather than a guarantee that every material and print combination will reproduce colour in the same way. Artwork, material and printing conditions remain part of the sample and production review.

Finished artwork dimensions and intended print area.

Logo position, orientation and required margins.

Vector files or other suitable production artwork.

Colour references used by your brand.

Any areas that must remain unprinted.

Expected visual approval method for the sample.

OEM, ODM and Private Label Development for Fitness Mats

We support product development from an initial requirement through sample approval and bulk order coordination. The scope can include material and structure selection, custom dimensions, thickness, shape, surface and base matching, artwork development, branding, labels and packaging.

01

We assess the mat type, intended practice, dimensions, construction, branding and commercial requirements.

02

Material and Structure Selection

Suitable material combinations are identified for sample evaluation.

03

Artwork Confirmation

The print area, logo placement, colour references and production files are reviewed.

04

A sample is prepared after the specifications, materials and artwork are confirmed.

05

The buyer reviews dimensions, thickness, appearance, construction, printing and packaging requirements.

06

Bulk Coordination

Production planning begins after sample approval and order confirmation.

Plan Samples, Production Timing and Packaging

Sample development typically takes 3–5 days after the specifications, materials and artwork are confirmed. If these inputs change during development, the sample plan and timing may need to be reviewed again.

Bulk production typically takes 12–18 days after sample approval and order confirmation. Final timing depends on the product specifications, quantity and customization requirements. Shipment timing is separate from production timing and is coordinated according to the destination and order requirements.

Order quantity depends on the product, material, size and customization requirements. Buyers who need a detailed review of order conditions can consult the MOQ, sample and production lead-time guide or submit the project for confirmation.

Packaging Routes

Standard export packaging and customized private label, retail and shipping packaging are supported according to project requirements. To plan packaging, identify:

The required sales and distribution format.

Label and branding requirements.

Retail packaging needs.

Shipping packaging requirements.

The number of product variations in the order.

The destination for shipment coordination.

Packaging should be confirmed with the product specification because mat dimensions, material, construction and presentation requirements can affect the selected format.

Production Steps and Quality Checks for Fitness Mat Orders

A yoga or fitness mat production route is selected according to its material, structure and artwork. Relevant processes can include material preparation, digital printing or heat transfer, lamination, cutting, custom shaping, finishing, inspection and packaging.

01

Incoming Material Review
